Somehow, someway the Jackets have to draft two or three elite players. None can be a Nail Yakupov, a 1st overall pick who really didn't pan-out. Then, after getting the luck of a couple of drafts, find a way to sign these elite players through their athletic prime so they cannot get away. And if that could be done, hope that they do not demand a trade to the Bruins, Rangers, Vegas or any one of about 20 other franchises that have a higher profile. Then, if by some miracle all of that goes right, pray that the team will be good enough that other top free agents will want to come aboard and put the icing on the cake.
