Lets see, par for points with Suzuki, but he wants $9mil? No, sorry, pass. And on top of that, some of the most asinine returns back to the Jets. I have heard Anderson and our 5th pick, Dach and our 5th pick. Anderson, Guhle, Dvorak and a 2nd or 3rd round for PLD and a Jets D (don't recall the name)
Pretty fubar for someone that will be a UFA after this upcoming season and no guarantee he will sign here afterwards. If LA wants him that bad, they can have him.
At best, 31st pick, Dvorak, and Mysak for PLD, but only if he signs a min of 5yrs at the same $$ level as Suzuki.
Even that I think is too much for him.

I was kinda happy when i heard of this asking price, cause it sounds to me like deterrent money.
No GM in their right mind would ever agree to pay that high a salary on a Dubois. So this could be ensuring fewer teams will offer anything of value to Winnipeg for him, cause it's bad enough Brisson is asking a lot for this guy, if you have to sacrifice a decent player, give away interesting prospects or give high picks on top of that the fans will never let you hear the end of it.
So… enters the Canadiens and their one question to the table : "Pierre-Luc, do you really want to play here or are you wasting our time ?" and he'll sign a Caufield-Suzuki ballpark deal with signing bonuses or Brisson will have his protégé fuck around elsewhere and find out what regrets taste like.
Dobois can lick my nuts nuff said fk him and the rainbow fkin sled he came in on. Ohh and as for the dickheads who got fired good see ya later your lucky you lasted that long and please let those doors spank your ass on your way out to the point you do a face plant.
I like Dach but it can be argued that PLD is what you hope Dach turns into.
Not interested in Dubois for anywhere near 9. He had a horrible season in 21-22, one decent season doesn't deserve that much money. I'd sooner see Scott Gomez come back at 5m per than Dubois at 9.

Keep Dubois away from Montreal if he want that much money
If Dubois wants to play in MTL that bad, he should sign for less money than Suzuki until he proves he’s worth more. If it’s no dice, then let him sign somewhere else. He has proven he can play but he’s always asking to be traded after 2-3 seasons. That makes me wary of the guy.
Now this may sound like a conspiracy, but its fun lol.. Now on the Dubois asking for ~9M a year contract, what if.. he is trying to scare teams for picking him up for a long contract (+4year). Because we know, he knows everybody freaking knows he wants to play in Montreal. He knows what our market is like. So what if he is playing the system to pick up a 1 to 3 year contract on one team, and want get picked up by Montreal come that time when we will be pushing for Stanley Cup entry.

Habs better not pay PLD more than Caufield and Suzuki, what a slap in the face to Caufield after signing him for less than Suzuki. Caufield last year, was 2 or 3 goals away from PLD's CAREER HIGH, and Caufield only played half a season, but ya, pay PLD $9M a season… I dont even want PLD. I was thinking we'd take him for around $6M, for a guy who can barely break 25 goals, $6M sounds reasonable, congrats LA, he's all yours!
