As a Rangers fan, I gotta say good contract. McDonagh is a humble, hard working guy. The contract isn't that expensive and the Bolts get a solid, movable defenseman.
Good deal, the cap is going up and you get to have Hedman and McD for under 15 million which is great value. Carlson got 8 million, doughty got 11, Karlsson probably gets 13. Mcd for 6.7 is fantastic.
Anyone who thinks 6.75 is an overpayment obviously hasn't seen enough of him. He's had one of the best bargain contracts in the league at 4.7 per and a $2 million raise is well deserved

Overpaid
McD hasn't really been the same since the massive Evander Kane hit. Still a good NHL defenseman and fits really nicely for Tampa on the 2nd pairing
