I wouldn't touch Debrincat, PLD is a no brainer. If i was to go for any other player for my top6 i would try to get a player closer to a tkachuk type. Trade a few contracts like Hoffman, Dvorak and mayyybe Gallagher but he might be worth keeping (and also hard to trade). I would also try to go for a right shot defenseman for at least short term to give the young guys time to develop. Might also be that time we part ways with Jake Allen. I would also shop around Gurianov and see what value he has in the league, might be worth keeping tho.

Considering Hughes has been a master in asset management I expect them to make the right moves here, whether they sign one of these guys or not, it's their drafting I'm skeptical of, because Hughes says he's going to listen to the scouts, and Montreal scouting has been some of the worst in the league the last decade…

AS a habs fan I would love to see them aquire Matt Dumba. Although Dumba has said he wants to remain with the wild I don't think their cap situation will allow that.

Juicy is too old. You need a young goalie that you can build the team around. Vladar is the guy. You can get him reasonably cheap and if he doesnt work out you can try again. Its not good overpaying for goalies as they come and go year by year.
So overall as a non Canadians fan I agree, but with the Alex Debrincat point, Ottawa is looking to compete and won’t want picks, Montreal would have to trade something big to get him and I don’t think it’s worth for them

Getting Saros would be a great addition. A #1 goalie a top priority. Our two goalies were brought in to backup Carey Price and play 25 games or so., not the 45-59;games they ended up playing. A top goalie would speed up the process without a doubt.

what is the point of this video? you literally mentioned it yourself, the habs are on a rebuild but not "kind of", they're on FULL rebuild mode. so trading assets for that could cripple the rebuild AND the future just to acquire a guy with no guarantees of signing an extension…
They don’t need Debrincat if they got Farrel coming up, Dubois is not important to mtl and they probably wait to sign him later on, Jakub Dobes is mtl next goalie not Saros or Hart, and defense is stacked asf.
