Even in a condensed season like this one you are going to have a handful of games that fall into the bog standard category. That was this one for the most part, except for the fact that the Avs finally got quality goaltending from their thrid-stringer.

Yo-yo did a great job in net tonight!
Kadri is to blame on that first blues goal. Bura is with his point man. Girard is defending the other side in case the player comes out that way and or makes a pass to the other dman on that side. All Kadri has to do here is not chase the player behind the net and cover Hoffman. He doesn't and JOJO let's in a squeaky one
Don't forget 2 minor leaguers were also playing tonight
Girard trying to throw Makar his stick was pretty funny though. His reaction and talking to Mikko in the box was priceless. Put us in a very precarious and unnecessary situation though. We fought through it tonight and got the W though, and that's all that matters.
I've liked JoJo, he looks much calmer than Miska in the net and hes stopped some big breakaways.
Jojo needs a real Avs helmet! Get this man geared up!
