Couldn’t agree more, no more smaller centers, let’s go out and grab a 6’2” 220 guy, no Otto Stenberg. Calum Ritchie fits the profile size wise, still leery when the projections are lower than the 21st pick but sounds solid. The Samuel Honzak kid looks like he could be another Greenway, although being a center would have much more value. If he truly is an EK, I would take him immediately.
Something tells me a player or two will slide as they always do. If you would have told the Wild Wallstedt would be available a few years ago, everyone would have laughed. Bracket and Guerin will dig up a player to fit the needs, either via FA, trade or the draft. The draft is one of my favorite days in the summer 💯👍. Good podcast again as I recover from a trip to Badger Hill Brewery last night. 😅
So do you take the less talented taller center just to get the size? Of course not.
Odds of Ritchie or Honzek being available at 21st overall is about 0% both will go around the 16th or 17th overall pick Stenberg might be gone before 21.

Stenburg is 41 out of 100. Picking 21st huh yeah doesnt make a lot of sense.

Stenberg is pretty fast and led Sweden in scoring in the u18s
Defense needs to get bigger for sure, Simashev fits the bill 100% plus he can skate and has decent hands and sometimes plays aggressive offensively. I’d take Honzek with the potentially high ceiling and 3rd line big center floor, Danielson projects as a center that’s 6’2” and can skate well, shoot decent and is alright at playmaking. He can bring the speed too. Please don’t take Ritchie. He looks overweight playing hockey. Get in shape dude. I’d he skated fast I’d take him. Looks like a lite version Forestr on the Flyers. Get him out! OHL hyped player for sure.
