CANUCKS FANS SHOULD STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT VEGAS

There are many Canucks fans who are angry at and/or jealous of the Vegas Golden Knights and their fans. In today’s video, I look at some of the reasons why this is the case, and I ultimately don’t find merit in any of the arguments.

  1. At the root it’s jealousy. Everyone is freaking out bec Vegas won the Cup in only 6 years. But why are we not giving them credit for making the right expansion selections, the correct producing draft picks, & the successful trades (Stone, Eichel & Pietrangelo) that put them over the top?

  2. Could have been VANCOUVER in 2019-20 season before VGK embraced KATY PERRY in VEGAS but somebody WHO LOVES🎶🎶ROAR🎶🎶 does not want it for HIS OWN TEAM so they BEAT YOU TO IT. Now CANUCKS are STUCK WITH……..🎶🎶IT'S A HARD KNUCKS LIFE🎶🎶 The Password to the STANLEY CUP is ROAR, Clay……I HAVE TRIED TO TELL YOU SO MANY TIMES before VGK figured it out. See HOW VGK featured KATY PERRY in the videotron in the start of the FINALS in VEGAS.

  3. I know the KRAKEN will go south 120% when JT MILLER have a fight with Carson Soucy. How about the KINGS with the fight with Adrian Kempe. Maybe there is still left of that thing with Matthew Tkachuk and Radko Gudas.

  4. I used to base my feelings of upsetness over the Knights on how they sacrificed fleury a hall of famer the way they did because to me that's not how you treat people but while I still believe in treating people with respect I see the reasons they did which was to free cap and make sacrifices for the betterment of the team. as time went on I understood why they did what they did even though I thought it could have been handled better their organization was smart in the way they built their organization and how they went about it to succeed. They pushed all in when they had success and im more upset and disappointed with our own management and team ownership for not having the same long term plan.

I can't blame the cap moves because it's the rules that all teams have ability to do as well but not all the other teams have the same depth to withstand it should they do the same thing and that's on our own ownership and management and not on the league or vegas or their fans .

I can only hope our ownership wakes up and sees how a real contender can be built and make moves accordingly for this goal of a cup instead of 2 to 3 games of home playoff revenue in the first round every year

Congrats to Vegas and their fans for the cup and having competent vision and ownership! Now its time for us as canucks fans to raise our standards and demand better from those who steward our beloved team to aim for higher goals than simply trying to be a wildcard team every year

  5. You mentioned Marchessault. He was a top six young player. They could not protect him they were able to pick up so many really good two way players. They changed some of the rules when Seattle came in so they could not get the same quality of player. They were playoff ready from the start. No team has ever had a leg up like that. My thing is that they seem to have gotten favorable calls since they have been in the league. Like the NHL wants them to win. But to me they are the best team right now. The best defense. Besides Floridas trip to the Cup was much harder than Vegas. Played better teams etc.

  6. there is something to be said for being able start with a blank slate to build a team. LV did it one way, seattle is doing it another way. if we weren't saddled with the over bloated contracts we have, we to might be able to build a cup challenging team too. building a team with the right mix of players to start your journey without maxing out your budget is a good start. can you imagine what we could do without, OEL, myers, garland, boeser or even miller's contract?

  7. Words can't describe how happy I am i never thought I would see a team i root for win the Stanley cup

  8. I don't think and haven't heard anything from my friends who are Canucks fans. Matter of fact, I have heard nothing but positive vibes. I would say that in November, it was my first game ever in Canada and in Vancouver. I ended up being able to catch 2 other Canadian games as well in Calgary and Edmonton and it was quite an adventure. With that said, the game in Vancouver was probably the most fun I had. Yep, got razzed like crazy by you Canuck fans but it was done all in fun and actually had a really really enjoyable time (side note* my friend screwed up and got us seats on the HOME side…ugh) Calgary, no so much.
No, I don't think there is animosity at all towards Vegas but if anything more towards Vancouver. How the hell we did this in 6 years and other teams wait a lifetime (if at all) to get a taste is beyond me. Obviously, there is a formula to this and it just isn't luck and I am beginning to think it all starts with the ownership and there willingness to make it happen. Bill Foley said it and delivered it. Why other teams can't follow this model is beyond me

  9. Hi clay great vid im not mad that Vegas won the cup at all heck I wonder If sabres fans feel the same way they’ve waited as long as the Canucks have for a cup too I’m happy for Vegas though I agree with all your talking points

  10. Nothing to do with being a Canuck fan, more of being a fan of hockey in general. The fact that the LTIR rule is being abused is sad to watch.

  11. I agree, also Vegas gave Eichel the surgery he wanted that Buffalo didn't want to give, which paid off. The thing that I'm still confused about is Vegas trying to trade Dadonov to the Ducks when the Ducks were on Dadonov's no-trade list. How was Vegas not aware of that?

  12. Honestly i feel the NHL is fixed, not wwe fixed but refs can control momentum. Why would the NHL be fixed? to grow the game in America to generate more money and exposure. How could refs control momentum? lets say your team is on the attack the first 10 minutes of the game and it looks like the rink is tilted…then you get called for a penalty against the flow while on the attack in the offensive zone, now the other team has a power play and on the attack and weather or not they score the games usually are more even keel after that and less one sided. subtle penalties that can change momentum of games and usually outcomes. this is why i don't like USA expansion teams because Bettman. We all heard the ref on the mic saying we need a make up call so you know its not on the level.

  13. Knights deserve the Stanley Cup win as they just did a great job and played constantly strong.
Could be also a role model for our whole Canucks organization!

  14. Do you remember when Motte got elbowed in the head by Ryan Reaves in the bubble, and was down on the ice ? Do you remember what the golden knights bench did ? One might expect that in a sport like hockey, they would show class and respect to an injured player. Maybe they'd even bang their sticks on the boards to show solidarity with a fellow competitor. No, they were laughing. Laughing and claiming that Motte was faking the injury after taking an (intentional) elbow to the head from a player twice his size. I lost all respect for the golden knights as a team at that moment. As much as I hate the Oilers and the Flames, I don't doubt their class as hockey players, and I know that they would show respect to a player down on the ice, especially after a cheap shot.

  15. People are more upset by a slanted expansion draft that allowed for a team to be a cup winner that quickly. I do commend their owners for having plan and a ruthless commitment to winning

  16. First. Canucks fans are the worst. They know nothing about hockey. They are half time fans who riot when they lose.
Canucks fans will always be the worst fans in the NHL
Cry babies with awful sweaters (jerseys for Canucks fans)
Get rid of that Orca. Back to black.

  17. I'm a die hard Canucks fan and I am very happy for the vegas knights for the first cup champions and I am not angry about the Vegas cup win they played for what they got
    A Stanley cup champions 2023 2024 😊😊😊😊😊

  18. Good for Vegas… Bettmans plan is unfolding nicely. Why has no Cdn team won a Stanley cup since bettman took over… interesting.
