PHILADELPHIA FLYERS BEAT THE COLMBUS BLUE JACKETS & KEVIN HAYES SCORES OVERTIME GAME WINNER!!



Wow, the Philadelphia Flyers went into Columbus and found a way to snag another two points as they win 4-3 in overtime. The Blue Jackets gained a 2-0 lead about 10 minutes into the hockey game thanks to Oliver Bjorkstrand and Nick Foligno. Foligno scored an absolute beauty by putting his stick in between his legs and ripping it by Brian Elliott.

The Flyers responded when Travis Konecny drove the net hard, Travis Sanhiem threw a biscuit on net and it hit off Konecny as he was falling over near the crease.

Three minutes into the second period, Columbus jumped back out to a two-goal lead until Nicolas Aube-Kubel entered the zone and shot the puck through a screen to find twine. Less than two minutes later, Claude Giroux put a blistering clap bomb on net for a power play goal to tie the game.

Elliot started the game out slow, but he was tremendous in the third period making highlight-reel saves. He was absolutely huge down the stretch. In overtime, Kevin Hayes took ice, made the Blue Jackets mess up due to a bad switch defensively, and shot it past Elvis Merzļikins.

The Flyers are now third in the Metropolitan Division with 75 points.

    I was in the house and it was freaking GREAT! Their fans were talking so much shit and it was all he-he-ha-has. Then the laughs turned into silence and it was such a great feeling standing up doing my FUCK YOU CBJ DANCE and getting yelled at. If this would have been Philly fans I would have gotten lumped up. There was a nice amount of Orange in the crowd.

    Imagine if the Flyers had Kucherov( Could've selected him if we didn't trade a 2nd to Arizona For Carcillo.) Or Pastrnak( Favorite Player, Took Sanheim over Pastrnak). Caufield( Took York over him ). Alex Debrincat( Took Pascal Laberge over him). This team needs a goal scorer.

    This was the first season in franchise history when the Flyers beat the Blue Jackets by sweeping them in the season series 4-0, the Flyers were down 3-1 in the 2nd period, the whole 3rd tied and we came late in overtime and Kevin Hayes delivers a clutch goal in overtime to stay in 3rd place in the metro division, I went to 2 Flyers games this season, and they won both games, every Philadelphia sports team game I go to they win.
