I am from Houston and it was super interesting to hear the discussion around the city and the Toyota Center. I grew up in Calgary and moved to Houston when I was young. I’ve listened to y’all for years as I am a diehard Flames fan (for life). Anyways – I think Pinder hit the nail on the head on why the transition would work well and why the rink is great. I’ve been to many Aeros games and that place used to get full for AHL hockey. Houston is also an extremely diverse city and in terms of growing the game, moving to Houston would have much more of a positive impact on the game than a move to say – Salt Lake City. Houston needs rinks for youth. Trust me, it’s hard to find ice time here and it shouldn’t be.
Absolutely they are. Bettman is chomping at the bit for a Texas rivalry
Houston is the only smart option for the Coyotes. Quebec will have to wait for one of NYC's team to move there. The Devils were struggling in the early 2010s and had the Devils not eliminate the Panthers in '12 and reach the Finals, the Devils would've gone to QC by now.
