SUB TO THE SECOND CHANNEL – @ohnyclips

The Red Wings have made another huge trade, this one IMO makes a lot more sense than the Hronek trade yesterday. If you guys enjoy this type of NHL content then be sure to subscribe to the channel if you are new!

  1. As a Preds fan I view the Granlund trade as a good one. Not awesome, but very good. It is just sad to remember how they got Granlund. One for one trade Granlund for Fiala… It was at trade deadline, Nashville was first in the division after a year that they have won the Presidents trophy, two years after losing to Pens in the Stanley cup final. When you look at it like that it kinda sucks.

  2. I gotta say this trade deadline feels like the NHL is moving in the way of the NBA. More teams are accepting what they are and what they can do with that role. Inferior teams are ready to let go of some quality in order to reload their plans and bigger teams are burning their assets for a push. For a few years it really felt like the league didn't have the flexibility for this kind of stuff because everyone was too naive about their status or too hung up on not doing anyone any favors. It's like teams have killed their ego and it is elevating the league.

  3. I want to feel angry about these trades and subsequently no returns yet.. but I decided to research and found the big picture so far.
This is what Yzerman has done so far.

    -8 of the top 100 players U23

-5 1st round picks in the next 3 drafts

-26 picks total in that span

And it seems this may not even be over yet.
I was shocked at some of these things but again.. Big Picture.
    It looks…. promising.

  4. Fascinated by the logic of the bruins with a single digit loss column, to change literally anything even with hall out. Even though bertuzzi is great, you shouldnt change a thing when the youre on a roll like them. Hope he gets a cup though

  5. This day was a big and lovely day as a Bruins fan. Don Sweeney is making a good job recently and it is not a fleece like most Yzerman-deals are!

  6. Will take awhile to get used to him wearing Boston colors. Bert has a great chance for a Stanley Cup, he may get it.

  7. fellow red wings fan that lives in toronto. I was expecting bert to get traded and as long as it wasnt the leafs im ok. i now kinda hope boston wins the cup bert deserves one after all the years playing on these terrible red wings teams. unlike the former leafs that have won cups former red wings havnt been so lucky. a tampa boston 2nd round series is going to be insane

  8. To be fair to Detroit, I think Rasmussen's injury was the deciding factor to sell. He's physical on the puck, which the team lacked against Ottawa, and him being missing is massive

  9. This is what I’m saying, NOBODY IS GOING TO GET TRADED AT THE TRADE DEADLINE

  10. Damn I’m always losing my favs to traded. Nyqust. Tatar. Baby Bert. Datsyuk to coyotes. Lol

  11. Lmao as a wings fan Bertuzzi is absolute perfect for Boston going forward towards the playoffs. Sheesh

  12. As a Wings fan, this hurts, but like you said, it was more or less inevitable. I don’t love Boston at all but Bert does fit their style really well and I would love to see him lift the cup. Overall, not mad

  13. so sad man, i loved bert here in detroit so much. i hope yzerman can find a way to bring him back when were ready to contend for a cup

  14. Can’t wait to see the next Nikita kucherov, Brayden point in Detroit. I believe Detroit has a better chance at having a better dynasty than Tampa does.

  15. This buys them more time to rebuild until toronto and Tampa start to fall off in like 5 years
