  1. So were you satisfied with the Kotkaniemi pick at the time or did you feel like we should have taken Tkachuk?

  2. Do you see the habs trading up if they could get someone like Byram past the fifth pick? And if so, what could they give for it? Thanks for the shutout!

  3. I'd love to see the Habs pick Ryan Suzuki, he's ranked at 18 in North America so he might fall in that bracket where Montreal is likely to pick. Both of the Suzuki brothers play with a lot of grit in addition to their talent. I can see them become similar to Max Domi.

  4. I have the feeling the Habs would draft a player based on their needs which is a defenseman. Either..
    – Cam York
    – Ville Heinola
    – Philip Broberg
    or
    – Thomas Harley

  5. I would take the best available, but among the players that will probably be available in the middle of the first round, some meet the needs of the Habs. Suzuki would be an excellent pick, but also Thomas Harley and Matthew Robertson who could perfectly fill the hole on left D. Also, Raphael Lavoie is a talented colossus who must be seriously considered.

  6. I agree with 'Best player available', however that can be subjective team by team . Case in point, R. Suzuki & Habs. IF being with his brother makes him a better player then this may be the best landing spot for him, giving the Habs a little more relative value. We don't know how the dynamic works between the brothers, so we really can't tell, but if it is a 1+1=3 type situation because they elevate each other… go for it.

  7. I wouldn’t select Ryan S as he is not a goal scorer. Habs need natural goal scorers. If Lavoie is available, please take him or a mobile Dman who can score.
