Top 32 according to Thibaud Chatel’s model
đđ Throwing it to the wolves.
2023 NHL Draft top32 according to the model.
Lots more explanations in the coming days.Bedard not being 1st is a testimony of how historical Michkov's and Fantilli's seasons have been, playing in non-junior leagues. pic.twitter.com/jliD7ScH2m

Who?
Bro doesn’t even have Bedard first đ
This is based on a model, and my take is that the model parameters could be refined.
Notably missing in that list: Leonard, Moore, Dvorsky, Sandin-Pellika.
Goddamn the Q sucks
Model says we have the first overall pick. Matvei Michkov.
Who the fuck is Aydar Suniev
he had slaf at 33 last year, Hutson at 20 I believe
Looks like this model overvalues NCAA and KHL scoring? Overrating the KHLâs more understandable given the recent decline in talent there, but not sure what might be inflating the NCAA so much.
no thanks
So the top 5 are the same as most public lists, just not in the same order.
I’d like to see the model, but it looks like a win in my books
Lmao Bedard at third tells you everything you need to know about this model.
Exhibit A on why analytics on their own are severely limited on evaluating human beings as players.
If my math showed Bedard as the third best draft prospect I would have some common sense and not share it.
So… take Brindley at 31st?
Leonard drops to the second round eh?
Well – I canât complain about a model that gets us Carlsson. đ€Ł
Thatâs literally the best scenario I have seen for the Habs.
Did this fella have a model from any previous years that I can compare to the actual draft in question?
