Vegas Golden Knights Offseason Outlook

Bruce Cassidy’s first season in Las Vegas was a successful one as the club took home its first Stanley Cup in franchise history. What will the defending Stanley Cup champions do this offseason?

  1. VGK have a great culture and they will continue to win without a question. Hill should be the future of VGK!

  2. Dump Lehner. Trade Brossoit even though I think he’s as good as Hill. Hill starts with Thompson in tandem.

  3. Barbashev earned himself some big money, and Vegas shouldn't ship guys out to fit him back on the team. Vegas can cycle Cotter or Dorofeyev into the group with Amadio and Howden. Just like this season, find which guys fit best with the 3 lines and roll. This also lets them start bringing in some young cheaper guys and keep this window open for as long as possible.

If you can bring Hill at 4-4.5 million on a 2 or 3 year deal I think you do it, let him and Thompson be your goalies. LTIR Lehner or ship his contract out if he's healthy. This team should be really good again next year.

  4. Keep hill, but don’t overpay. Dump Lehner. Work on getting another consistent goalie, don’t need a superstar. Your offense and defense are great and deep.

  5. Hill will probably be asking for 6 which is way too high. Let Hill go and focus on signing Barbashev. Vegas' depth in D and amazing shot-blocking have already proven they can play with any decent goalie in the net.
