You guys are only looking at numbers but not chemistry. A player like Dubois you don't need him. He will want to control the game making it difficult for Nick
No PLD, he wants to be the highest paid guy on the team and he's not better that Suzuki or Caufield. He's an above average player at best, not worth it just becasue he's a frenchman.

Problem is the 9 million. Hughes won't give him 9 million.. He would only get 7.5
Adding Anderson makes no sense , not sure why all the hate , 5 million for 20 goals is the market, no way max is 1 and 3 , Harris , and. Florida first, and say ylonen is more realistic. The Habs could have gotten a first for Anderson at the trade deadline

If he wants more than Suzuki and Caufield screw him. Canadiens are laying the groundwork for multiple cups the right way, and if PLD wants to come in and upset the balance by demanding more than anyone, let him go somewhere else. He's not worth it.

Jets fan here. What Montreal is willing to give will be totally outmatched by other teams offers. So unless the 5th overall pick is in play or one of the big "2" yhen this is a moot point.
Why trade for a guy a year before his contract is up and he said that’s won’t re sign. just wait a year sign as a UFA and make sure the habs have the most talent possible.
