Yikes boys don't make a video about the senators and start the video by absolutely shitting on them. The targeted viewers are sens fans because its a video about the sens. No sens fans are going to want to watch or listen if you start off like that.
I do think things were a little overhyped because the fan base was overly excited to finally see their team start to be competitive again after 6 years. However the fans weren't all that wrong. if their #1 centre Josh Norris Didn't get hurt and our goaltenders too at the beginning of the season they would have been much more competitive considering Debrincat would've been playing with Norris instead of rookie Shane Pinto ( who struggled a lot playing top minutes and top lines).
The Senators don't have an A level Prospect pool because they all graduated to the NHL. Tkachuk, Stutzle, Batherson, Norris, Sanderson, Pinto, Greig, Brannstrom, Kleven, JBD.(formenton too but lets not talk about him). If you look back at prospect pool rankings 2-3 years ago Ottawa was #1 or #2 with LA. Detroit has a great prospect pool but they have yet to graduate to the NHL so time wise they are behind ottawa and more patient with their rebuild.
Ottawa's Defence is set. Nit picking at Chychrun's brief time with getting used to Ottawa's structure and teammates isn't really a good argument when you compare him to Walman who started the year with Detroit. Also Walman had half the amount of points Chychrun had last season.
Senators are ahead of Detroit IMO, they beat the crap out of them back to back 6-1 and 6-2 which forced Detroit to sell their assets at the TDL. They would've been closer to Buffalo in points if the injuries were better to them.
If the senators Get a decent goalie this offseason and Norris plays the full season they very much will most likely make the playoffs.
