I wish he had shown Eichel stripping the puck from McDavid for a 200 ft EN goal.

Buffalo was the problem, what a surprise.
On the one hand, I wish nothing but the best for Eichel. In the other, Vegas getting an NHL franchise was nothing more than Bettman's money grab. I never want to see them win a Cup. Hopefully Jack will be traded so that I can be happy for him when he scores an overtime Cup winning goal.
Yeah, lets celebrate the guy who bitched and moaned during his tenure in Buffalo, grandstanded so that the HC and GM were fired, and then got traded to a contender so that he gets an easy path to glory without having to work for it. Real winner there folks
Meanwhile guys like McDavid, Matthews, hell even Ovi, have to pay their dues, but don't complain because they're team players.
What a surprise Canadian media hating on non Canadian players. They sure liked to bash Ovechkin until he lifted the cup at every chance although our playoff loses were never his fault. He always performed and that was with a defender and forward always on him whenever he stepped over the boards because they didn’t have to worry about anyone else.
When the #1 criticism of a player in the playoffs is he should shoot more because he has a great shot, you know he is doing something right. Eichel is all around a team player. He's turning into a great set up guy.
I think he had too much pressure being drafted right after McDavid. He was also hurt really bad and Buffalo wouldn’t allow him to get the surgery he wanted. Guess what! The surgery was a success

eichel is a beast, he just needed a good organization/team around him.
I was obviously distraught when my favourite player Tuch was traded for Eichel.. a player who was injured and had this narrative around him. Along with the Fleury trade and some other ones, I thought this team was on it's way down. But man, after seeing Eichel play and how everything turned out.. I'm pretty happy overall. He's a hell of a player and we have like 5 goalies who are all pretty damn good lol
The NHL wasn't wrong about anything. Eichel has a very good team around him for the first time in his career and is able to contribute in a significant manor. I'm a fan of him as a player but it doesn't make him a 10 million dollar, captain material player in today's NHL even if he wins the cup this year.
Buffalo might be a cursed franchise but those rumors of his behavior and attitude were pretty wide spread and obvious. Good play on a good team for one post season doesn't change that.
I've been an Eichel fan since he gave Don Cherry a Team USA tshirt on live TV in 2014 or 15. The balls on this kid.

Eichel hasn't been a scoring machine these playoffs but he is an assist machine and has been playing elite defense. I rather have a complete player than one that scores 150 points and can't win a series.
Eichel finally became coachable. This created an opportunity to become mature. His History will never be erased. Past immaturity was real. Maybe he is becoming an adult.
Let's wait to see results over the next few years.
McDavid will never win a cup in Edmonton. Eichel would never win one in Buffalo. Vegas was the fresh start he needed without the pressure of being captain. Vegas taking a chance on him with his surgery is paying off in droves now. I'm sure the trust they put on him is doing wonders for his confidence as well.

People last year were laying that Buffalo won the Eichel trade but now I would say it was a win-win trade
Eichel was losing his career in buflo now that he got his surgery he's back at his normal skillset. It's not like they cut all his muscle tissue and rebuilt it. Oh right that's what they did. Dude is proving the NHL why he could have been no1 over mcjesus

Eichel got kicked off the worst team in the NHL for being a little bitch. How long did the Oilers suck after drafting McDavid, yet he never cried about it like Eichel did with Buffalo. Either way, Eichel is getting drafted by a soccer team after this season for his diving skills. What an embarrassment to the sport of hockey.
Is Eichel somehow an improved version of early days Ovechkin? More team game, but still a winged bulldozer?
He has grown in LasVegas under Coach Cassidy. He had a change of venue and is outstanding so far in the first two Stanley Cup Finals.👍🔥🔥

Eichel was always great. He just couldn't stay healthy and he wasn't mature as a leader. But people like to blame him for everything.
Buffalo made him captain too early and didn't help him mature. There weren't other star players he could rely on as a mentor either.
In VGK, when everyone is healthy, it is a deep team and Eichel doesn't have to do everything himself, including leadership. He played 1/3 of a season for the first time in practically two years and people blamed him for the team missing the playoffs when the whole team was injured.
He's not McDavid so he won't solely carry the team by points. But Eichel has basically been ppg his entire career and has never been a bust.

Jack Eichel is a mediocre player AT BEST. Hes an okay Playmaker but pretty bad as a scorer… 6 Goals 20 assists during the whole Post Season (22 games)… im sorry but assists are fuckin given away in hockey 😂🏒 you dont even have to directly pass to the guy who scores lol
