The Edmonton Oilers have recalled Matt Benning from his conditioning stint with the Condors, and the Flames made a suspect call up, calling up 6’6″ giant Buddy Robinson ahead of this week’s Jan. 29 Battle Of Alberta rematch!

Sadly the battle of Alberta won’t be as crazy since the department of player safety will be there
We should call up peluso
😀 😀
There is part of me that hopes Kass effectively ignore the situation and does his job. Don't get me wrong, if opportunity presents within the scope of his job, yeah, give the guy a ride (preferably through the glass and a few rows up, lets see him Turtle his way around that) but I don't want "stupid" penalties like the last time. The team needs to prove they have discipline and don't let emotions override skill and good hockey.
Calling up a "slow big guy" actually benefits us a lot per @Ron Lilgert's comment. We have skilled players who can send them for a pack of cigarettes and by the time they come back we've scored a few times. Calgary has a fairly good team and I don't sell them short I just hope the guys can pull it together. Calgary may also be tired doing a back to back after a St. Louis game the day before (or their 'rust' may be gone and we get annihilated, personally hoping the former not the latter).
LOL they called up a 6’6 goon to protect their kids, man it’s gonna be a war on the 29th!
Buddy is not a bad AHL player. But, not a goon. Not a fighter, not a lot of penalties; has a few good hits, though.
6 foot 6 230 lbs bet he still skates better then lucic 😂😂
There is a store sign I see on my trip to work every day the sign reads why did tkachuk cross the road … to get to the shell station 😂😂😂
Seriously I doubt the fact Calgary takes more penalties the are all like tkachuk just a bunch of cowards
Benning played REALLY well, in my opinion. He was solid defensively, especially when paired with William Lagesson, he played on the PP and PK, and he looked like he was getting back. Not completely 100% back, but about 85%. Give him a couple games to get back up to NHL speed, and he'll be good again.
Saw him today at the autograph signing. Looked happy to be back
Im worried calgary will try to injure benning
