First away and home Buffalo game

  1. Perreault scores his first NHL goal on Owen Sound native, Les Binkley in the Penguin's net.

  2. When you're an expansion team and you're only giving up 3.5 goals per game it's a good sign. That was the early 70's Sabres.

  3. I went to this game expecting to see the Pens blow out the Sabres. Didn't happen. Roger Crozier stoned them and was the real star of the game.

  4. Sabres of today are an embarrassment. No playoffs in over a decade. Got into a medical dispute with their star number one pick and franchise player Jack Eichel. Then they traded him to a team that allowed him to get his cervical artificial disc. They are in an abyss. Losing every year. Not doing anything with their high draft picks. The glory days of the 70s, 80s, and 90s are long gone. This is the millennium of misery. Now the team is in a fog of despair and no one can say if, or when, it will ever clear. Maybe never again.
