Late game heroics from Peterborough Petes, Koonnor Smith, 2023 NHL Draft Eligible, and Brennan Othmann (NYR 2021 Round 1). Smith races back to prevent a goal and then Othmann grabs a loose puck to score the goal. Smith’s defense partner, Samuel Mayer (My A), undrafted, never gave up after his shot was blocked. He dove in an attempt to stop Cameron Tolnai of the Ottawa 67’s, He didn’t succeed, but slowed Tolnai down enough to allow Smith to catch up.
