Travis Green to join Devils coaching staff in the position vacated by Andrew Brunette
There is word Travis Green will join New Jersey’s staff in the position vacated by Andrew Brunette. Green had several options — believed to include Calgary and Toronto, and chose the Devils.

I think Green is a good systems coach that needs this to get some more ideas in the chamber. I think he will help out Jersey a lot with his ability to work with young players. Happy for him.

The immediate assumption for us is that he’s going to help run the powerplay since that was Brunette’s role but curious on where you all think he’ll fit in on Lindy Ruff’s staff.

He was put in a bad spot under that idiot Jim Benning.
I’ll always feel bad for the guy for doing PR when it should’ve been Benning. When him and Benning were in confrenfe calls with media, Benning would do such a half ass job and felt like Green would have to step up when it wasn’t his job.
I remember the Virtanen scandal happening and Benning just sitting there and having Green field the questions.
Is he still under contract with the Canucks?
