Will the Carolina Hurricanes be trading away one of their top defensemen this off-season? Chris Lea & Dennis Cox discuss how Brett Pesce is heading into the final year of his contract with new representation and it is rumored that if Carolina can’t extend Pesce this summer, they’ll potentially look to trade him. With Pesce potentially on the way out, the Hurricanes must find a way to replace his production.

Trade Brett to Buffalo Sabres for the 13th pick. To Buffalo Brett, Jack Drury, 30th pick and 4th round pick. To Carolina 13th, one of theirs 3rd line D-Man, Top prospects & 2024 2nd.
Everyone keeps saying below market value! Six years ago that wasn’t a below market value for a unknown player taking in the third round! He was paid fair market value for a player who was still in development! Bottom line great signing by Ron Francis.
If they trade Pesce they only trade him for a known scorer not a first round pick unless its a high pick thats a cant miss but usually may never be a star for years down the road if ever. Canes need a player or draft pick read to play now
I feel like we need our defense to stick together
