Today we’re going over two different players involved with the Detroit Red Wings system in Jimmy Howard and Filip Zadina, and how they’re both out for different reasons.
First off, it’s Jimmy Howard; a Detroit Red Wings goaltender drafted out of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, and a guy who’s spent the past 17 years in the system as a top prospect, a backup, and a starter.
Recently we’d gotten word from Elliotte Friedman that Howard is going to be exploring free agency, ending his 17-year tenure with the Wings.
As for Filip Zadina, one of the top NHL prospects out of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, he’s a guy who’s been suiting up for the HC Oceláři Třinec in the Czech Extraliga, but unfortunately, he won’t be able to suit up for them any time in the next few weeks. He’s out as well.
Despite this though, the Red Wings have a lot to look forward to at the upcoming 2020 NHL Entry Draft!

Some team will sign Howard to a one year deal
Veleno is still in Canada training. He didn't go over to Europe.
Just saw an article on FB that Stevie is supposed to be going hard after Markstrom, maybe you can make a video about that idea. I know you've talked about it some, but you can go into it with a little more depth.
Dude ur turning into fox news again!
hey man when are you going to do some canes videos?
of course howard's out. he was, by a significant margin, the league's worst goalie last year. he'll be lucky to sign with anyone.
I really am gonna miss Howie 🙁
Click bait, thumbs down.
Total clickbait. Come on man.
bye bye howard..you wont be missed.. now we just need to buyout Abdelkader and Nielson.
How is this devastating? Lol he’ll be playing by early October
Clickbait garbage
As a lifelong Red Wing fan I'm happy for Howard he deserves a chance to go away in a cup somewhere
Man I liked your videos before this click-bait title with Zadina gone. He is injured and loaned overseas not gone from Detroit.
good riddance. sorry, but howard sucked.
I'll miss Jimmy, I appreciate all he did in Detroit. The Red Wings have to be one of the best teams in pro sports to have players stay for either their whole career, or an extended period. Also hope for a speedy recovery of Zadina.
Came for the click bait, stayed for the ads
I thought they had high hopes for Zadina. I guess he and Cholowski fell short. Though I think Zadina was better than Cholowski. Oh well, such is the world of sports.
This is the biggest load of trash I've ever seen. Along with every other video on this page
Zadina so far hasn't lived up to the 6th pick, he looks like he needs some time on the Giffens cause 4 goals and 5 assists in 25 games, Ummmmm yeah idk, I mean he's young but he looks like his confidence is shot
