  1. Stop the forest fires, Canada. We already have too many smoke screens! Talk was the Red Wings might take one of these players. So…take Michkov!

  2. The Habs could use a top flight d-man like Reinbacher. We know how Vegas defence stifled opposition (e.g. McDavid of Edmonton Oilers) during their run to Stanley Cup.

  3. If the habs follow the same thought process that led them to Slaf, then reinbacher will be the pick.

Also leonard isnt really that small of stature. He was very nearly 6' tall at the combine.

Lastly, your tag line is still gibberish 😂

  4. Tbh this makes sense as a possibility.. if they get assets and still end up with bedson, reinbacker or Leonard I'd be happy with that rather than taking em at 5th. I really hope they get will smith or benson though..I'd also LOVE michkov

  5. Hate to say this but a Russian drafted by any Canadian team is pretty much a no go right now thanks to the climate created by your commie son of Castro dictator…best to trade down from 5th to 7 to 9 and get basically a top prospect and pick up additional draft capital (such as another 2nd and 4th)

  6. Washington doesn’t have enough assets to sacrifice a potential Michkov or Smith for what will be available at 8

  7. Last year they picked first so your point is mute .Did not make a difference who they took out they had the first crack at it.This year there was another player that was not at the combine that they are very interested in.

  8. It's because mtl knows getting 4th overall will cost atleast their 1st, 31st pick and another one possibly

  9. what I love with Montreal is that we're hearing so many contradictory things. At first it was oh they ll trade down and then it was them looking to trade up to 2nd or 4th and now its trading down again and which player MTL is high on is really hard to figure out too you re hearing so many different things and as much as I as a fan want to know what they ll tactically i think its brilliant as no one knows what they re going to do and will make the draft interesting for MTL with so many different options to add value to this team.

  10. First, it’s not 4D thinking. It’s normal thinking to obfuscate who you want at any significant point. The only time anyone tells anyone else anything is if one team proposes a draft pick swap trade. Second, I can easily see Montreal wanting Reinbacher and I can even see an outside chance he goes early due to how few defensemen there are at the top of the draft, let alone a potential top pair RHsD. On the Leonard kid, no way they want him, they already have Caufield’s diminutive size to make up for in the top six. Lastly, there’s no way a pick swap with Washington would go down that way. If anything Montreal would draft Michkov, wait til 8OA and IF their kid was still there, they would then consummate the trade. The only team they could swap ahead of time with is with whomever has the 6th OA.

  11. Montreal would have to smoke screen that defense because the first 4 pick he will not be going.

  12. Last Year was way different. Kent Hughes said the decided to choose slafkovsky the day before the draft. The took wright to dinner because at the time he was their pick

  13. This actually makes a lot of sense. Makes you think high drafting teams shouldn't be taking anyone out to dinner.

  14. Another suggestion heard elsewhere seems very realistic and fair to me: The Canadian have actually a better club than most think. If everyone is healthy, this club can surprise and even, perhaps, make the playoffs, starting next year. Which means this year is probably the last time the club will be able to pick that high in the draft. It would therefore be wiser to do everything to move higher than lower, even if it means losing good elements in the process. Think about it: this is probably the last time you will have the opportunity to draft fifth or maybe higher… and you will trade to draft lower?

  15. The problem with KH dealing with the Capitals and moving down to 8th let's say, is that either (or both) Reinbacher and/or Leonard could be selected at 6th or 7th !? …
And where would that leave the Habs ?

  16. with gm and coaches getting fired so often, why take a player that will help your sucessor.?
caps pick last year got out of his khl contract (cant wait to see him over here)
