Looks like Dubas finally took a page out of BriseBois’ playbook. Realized the time is now. Regarding the current cap dilemma, if it’s true that Kerfoot goes to the Canucks, I’d prefer to see Schenn come back over picks. The only addition Tampa has made is a 3rd line shit disturber in Jeannot and they paid up significantly to do that. I don't know why people are still calling for Dubas to be fired or Sheldon Keefe for that matter. Dubas has put the best team possible on the ice with smart signings and good trades the last few years. Keefe has an amazing record since taking over for Babcock. If they go out in the first round this year, I think we have to lay most of the Blame on the players. I'm personally really excited for the Leafs this year. I definitely feel a whole hell of a lot better about this team than I did just a few weeks ago.

He has evaporated in the 3 postseasons he’s been apart of. 0 Goals & isn’t physical at all. He wont resign after taking that 1 year deal as a RFA – we won’t be able to pay him anyways. With Leafs mindset this tradeline of bringing tough to play against players I think he goes.
Kerfoot does enough on the PK along with his speed and hockey IQ to justify his spot on the Leafs this postseason. Holl may also go, maybe not. Time will tell if Dubas takes sheltering the goalie match ups in the playoffs a step further by acquiring another D.
Would love to see Chychrun & Bjugstad as Leafs.

Leafs still need a left winger for the Matthew's line and a back-up goaltender. Trade Murray, Engval, and Sandin to Vancouver for Demko and Shenn.
Essentially we get Muzzin back…with the same potential strengths (hard hitting, grinding, blocking, and optional offense) , and the same potential weaknesses (health, penalties, health, and health)… Personally I'd like to see Engvall be the person who's waived or traded to get salary cap compliant.
If you've watch the Leafs closely you will know how utterly snake bit Kerfoot has been all year. Can't buy a goal and he's been oh so close all year. Hint Hint Hint on a team like Vancouver he's top 6 for sure. Just an other odd fact, McCabe and Lafferty are the 6th and 7th American players on the current Leafs roster. Doesn't mean much to you youngun's but from an original 6 perspective that's a TON.

Fortunately, for the sake of my laughter, after this trade, they got whomped by the Oilers, in what was effectively a 6-2 woopin, as the offside was inconsequential, but, rules are rules, and it didn't count.
Then they squeak out a victory in a game they deserved to lose, by, of course, the 2mm offside that invalidated Kadri's goal.
