This podcast is a mistake
Are your guys nuts? I am willing to bet you guys do not know how to balance a check book or a salary cap . You guys have no idea how to evaluate hockey players like you all do not understand the condition of your own cars. This makes no sense why you guys are on U-tube
They made a mistake when they refused to listen to Trevor Linden.
Your slight of Corey Crawford is atrocious, I'd bet that Henrik would gladly trade his career for Crow's Stanley Cups. Statistically they are very close, yet Crow was more effective in the playoffs, making the big saves in the biggest moments. Crawford definitely deserves to be in the HOF.
Benning Drafting and free agency just Bad since Myers Erickson Oel poolman Bad contracts Benning last BS Ditched contracts made are cap misery over the Decade Doesn't know How to structure the cap after you added 6 million players like myers then added Another on top of it screwed
They keep kicking the can down the road. Lol
Two wrongs don't make a right. Canucks made a mistake taking on Ekman-Larsson to get rid of Loui Eriksson, another mistake. That was the only way to unload Eriksson. This was the only way to unload Ekman-Larsson. In the past, unloading Trevor Linden was the only way to get Mark Messier. Matts Sundien was another expensive blunder. Canucks have been mistake-prone, throwing money after money, for 50+ years.
The OEL buyout makes zero sense to me.
New york rag brown noses. Lumpy NEVER won a cup and that is how goalies are measured. For all the great games he may have had – he couldn't win the big one. If he gets in it's because it's the NY rags. If he gets in then definitely Crawford should be getting in also. If they ever have a category for perfect hair though, lumpy is your guy.
Between Justin Williams and Corey Crawford, they have five Stanley cups, which should equals Hall of Fame!
they corrected a mistake.
Yet Hughes won't buy out Hoffman, come on Kent!
They need to trade 11OA+Pettersson to the Ducks for 2OA, avoiding a 10+ mil contract and everything will be solved
Best thing the canucks have done in years. We need to start getting better now, not 4 years down the road. Petey and Hughes both said they're not sticking around for a retool.
I only read the thumbnail and yes they did.
The least painful option to recover cap space. At least this way the Canucks aren't reliant of another team's mercy. This way the Canucks don't let other teams hold them over a barrel. This way they don't get rid of assets that could help the team.
Congratulations on 6k subscribers. Let's get to 10k peeps
Frank's the most interesting, thoughtful insider. I like Dreger, but he's so intense it's like he's giving a legal deposition.
New management. Old mistakes.
The move is so bad. What they should have done is just keep the guy. This is a bad move to waste money. All they needed was forward depth.
JT Miller contract will be the same as this in 3 years. Except costlier
The savings this year and OEL's overall play dropping year after year. The buyout was a must. The trade would only make sense if the Canucks were close to winning a cup, and you thought this move would give you a few years of making cup runs. To make this move when the team wasn't even a playoff team was really stupid. Guenther will be a 50 – 60-point guy this season, and the Canucks can think about what if. What if Jim didn't take Olli and Jake. What if he didn't trade for Erik, Sven, Etem or Suter. Giving up 2nds like candy at Halloween. Those picks may have turned into nothing, but we will never know. What if Jim didn't take Lind or Woo with the early seconds he did use. The guy couldn't hit in the 2nd round except when he drafted Demko and maybe Hoglander. The bad news is the Canucks aren't a contender, but I think they will be a playoff team.
Arizona may be a joke, but they are certainly in a position many clubs wish they were in. Numerous high draft picks, and a tonne of cap space.
That Garland OEL deal to Van was brilliant. They took on players who were expiring. What a brutal trade by Benning
Did someone seriously suggest Toronto may want to buyout TJ Brodie? That is one of the most boneheaded things I've heard from a 'mainstream' media person before.
