Beniers Pre Draft Scouting Report – https://youtu.be/48vpTf8Xgeo
We’ve all been hearing about Matty Beniers, first pick in Seattle Kraken history, and how he’s been lighting it up at Michigan this year. So, I decided to take a look and see how he’s developing, and boy, does he look good.

Liking a video before watching 5 seconds of it, absolutely. This one’s gonna be an instant classic. BENIERS!!!!!
Ryker Evans next pls Dylan!
I was frankly shocked (in a good way) that you brought up Stammer totally transforming his game. He was basically a one dimensional player when he first came up (albeit an arguably generational player at that one dimension). Since then, in part due to all the injuries, he’s become a much more complete player, whether being a top 15 face off guy or being a high end fire checker. Needless to say, it’s something special to behold
Excellent video, Dylan! I've watched a few Michigan hockey games on ROOT Sports this year just to see Beniers play in anticipation of him joining the Kraken hopefully this spring for a playoff run. To be honest it is hard to catch his ice time with Michigan because his team is so loaded with other great players who get as much or more ice time as he does! So your video digest of just Beniers this season is much appreciated. I was glad to see Beniers sitting with Kraken GM Ron Francis at the recent Detroit Redwings game. It made me wonder what they had to say about Beniers joining the Kraken after the NCAA playoffs. Of course it depends on him staying healthy and probably on whether the Kraken are legitimate NHL playoff competitors come March/April. If the Kraken are in the hunt it will be interesting to see what their needs are and the chemistry of their forward lines and especially their powerplay performance. While I doubt Beniers would step right in as the #1 center, he could help plug some gaps in a potentially injury-depleted lineup and give a spark to the powerplay. Best case scenario would be a Ken Griffey type of Cinderella story in which Beniers boosts the expansion Kraken team to an epic run for the Stanley Cup! Just sayin, that would be awesome. Go Kraken!
