For all he has done for the Jets I’m glad to hear that he is being treated with class but for this Team to finally go in a new direction I can’t see how Blake can be in the lineup this season .. hoping for a classy buyout 🤞🏽
Trade and retain is better, even if you retain enough to have a little bigger cap hit this year. For all the crap he takes, he is still coming off a 55 point season, which should be worth $4.95m to someone. (cap hit if Jets retain 40%) Islanders and Canes both have cap space, both could use a scoring winger.
Let Wheeler go to Florida on league minimum with Maurice. On buyout
I can't see it basically rolling it back like this it's exactly what fans are sick of and want new players in,attendance is down cause of same old. Pretty sure a year to 1.5 yrs ago Andrew spoke on selling to fans or even if a prospect the idea of a face of the franchise going forward. It was the Wright draft.

Blake has always been appreciated as a very good Jet and leader of the Jets. Aren’t the problems in general with teams like Leafs? Sure we expect PLD to be traded at some point. The rest is media creating their own interests.
I'm sooooo sick of this team not doing a GD thing EVER. Fan from the beginning but have always dispised Mark Scheifele since his cry baby attitude the very first year we sent him back to the farm , oh ya he whined the second year too. I guess the management are great at trading away young guns for MORE EGO PUMPED A HOLES like pld. EGO pumped A HOLES like Wheeler who seem to ruin the locker room but mums the word. Maybe they could get Andrew Ladd back. This team needs more nothing for something. Its time to get rid of management.

Wheeler was the cause of Andrew Ladd not being brought back and Big Buff suddenly retiring as Laddy and Buff were close. Wheeler has been way overpaid at $8.25 M AAV when compared to Scheifele’s $6.25 M AAV who resented the big pay disparity. I’ll be so happy when Wheeler no longer walks the hallways of Canada Life Centre.
It would be best for the team to trade and retain, or buy Wheeler out. It would not
be best for Chipman's pocketbook, as $ 4 mil is a lot of money, and he's not a
multi billionare like many of the US owners. We may be stuck with him this season.
Wheeler is a part of the problem with this team. Jets will not progress with him on the team.
