  1. They signed him as a test for the new medical personnel coming in,if you can keep Monahan on the ice they'll sign these trainers long term

  2. Happy, Happy, Happy!!! Good leader for the young pups. Health is the only issue but at that price, it's well worth the gamble.

  3. Mother Figure — Father Figure… Depends how he identifies!! ( Two Spirit Penguin!!! ) Womens Olympic Team???

  4. This is reallly telling of the stature of the current management team within the league.

Monahan, a guy that can score 30, win face offs, toast eating contests if style matters, and most of all chose to stay in Mtl, not only at a discount, but in my view (*very important reminder that this is my opinion) for a potential long term deal with no trade clause. 🎉

He could’ve gone anywhere in the league… remember that.

But he chose The Habs Logo, the legendary jersey, the fans Habs Nation, and you journalists and hockey aficionado ❤ Deosnt that mean something – something Big, that we havent seen in Decades in Mtl?

The desire to play for a storied franchise that will venerate their idols and guarantees its members glory if they put in the efforts.

    Martin St-Louis.

    It’s a Stevie Y affaire 😂

Mtl is Back Baby, the Mecca is rallying its troops, and they are answering the call.

These mythical players who value team spirit and collaboration. Where critics are heard and act upon.

    Where legends are born
    Where legends are made

    Beyond the ice
    Beyond the trade

    Where legends are remembered
    Where thou shall not fail

    We are the Canadians
    Where we want the Cup!

Amen (cause you are our Cause) ❤

  5. Good short term contract. I see potential for the future if health is on our side next year. A RHP deal is what we need next.

  6. Makes up for not signing Perry a couple years ago, there is also value of leadership/mentoring to the group above the points production

  7. Sean is a young guy who has had nothing but one serious injury after another. This for him is really a long shot to see if his body can hold up. There has been other players that have tried to come back from serious injuries as I am sure it is hard to stop playing so young. But for his long term health I hope he hangs them up.

  8. 2026 can't arrive soon enough
-matvei michkov is gonna be ready to hop on the habs
-we finally get rid of the Carey price contract

    It's gon be lit

  9. great signing,,,give him a chance to prove himself. if he pulls it off he will be rewarded

  10. Low risk high reward type of deal, if he can stay healthy, you could get a prospect and a pic at the deadline for him.
Just remember when you send him over the boards to wrap him in bubble wrap and mark fragile, because he's gonna need it with the luck he's been having the past couple of years.

  11. Junkie it’s a good thing you are a plumber because with all this great content your commode is getting a serious workout lol

  12. Habs likely won't be competing for a playoff spot until 2024-25, so signing Monahan to a smaller contract is low risk and if he has a good season and the Habs aren't near the playoffs, they can potentially ship him off for a decent return as 2M for a rental player is an easy jump to take for GM's going into the playoffs.

If they somehow to manage to fight for a playoff spot and he can stay healthy, really good depth scoring at an extremely reasonable price, win-win.

  13. Great deal. He fits into both special teams , can play on the wing and is a solid top nine center.

  14. Love this contract. Would still like to see Gurianov get 1 full season under MSL.
