  1. Everyone is talking about OEL's points … They were ALL (the majority) SCORED when Hughes was out injured, and OEL got 1st PP unit, 1st Line minutes, with no one else to fill the position. With The Canucks PP / 1st Line, ANYONE (see: Schenn) is going to get points, by simply being on the ice with the those unit players. When Hughes was in the lineup, good luck finding OEL. I don't get this line of thinking, that "he was still a scorer"…

  2. No playoffs i l said again oel is slowly Declined now He's injured late in the season not a good sighed glad it's makes sense Buy Him out Canucks slow started October November December November killed them to make the playoffs.

  3. If the Canucks could have gotten rid of oel + either Garland or Boesner i would have given up the 11th pick… begrudgingly… but to not be on the hook for 8 years would've been my final factor in my decision… if you get xfactor capspace off books for 8 years… no matter how good a prospect is he most likely won't make the impact the cap space saved is concerned for 8 years… that's a good career for any prospect… how much roster shuffle could one do for a pick over cap space… sign Petey please

  4. Team Rutherford must now go out and sign an aging Swedish hockey player to a ridiculous contract they can't hope to live up to so they too can be considered a real Canucks management group. Unless they move out another unwanted contract, they're not bringing in 2 midsized contracts and still filling out the rest of the roster. If Tocchet overplays Demko again and he gets hurt because of it, this team will be in dire trouble unless Silovs can come to the rescue, and if the Canucks have a better start to the season they'll also be playing less backup goalies than last season.
