They REALLY don’t want Bryson to play again do they?

Remember when what was insanely obvious to everyone somehow wasn’t obvious to the people actually running the team? That was fun, now the front office is actually smart.

I have long been a fan of Hanifin. Call me a Hanifan (Fanifin?). There are a handful of options that excite me on the blueline this offseason, and I’m glad to hear Adams is gearing up to go for it.

I’d be completely satisfied if this offseason was exclusively about extending the guys we have (namely Dahlin & Power), adding a legit top four dman (Hanifin, Pesce, Karlsson, Parayko, etc.), and a proven veteran goalie (Korpisalo, Andersen, Raanta, Hart, the bigger guns).

  4. Sure hope Adams remains aggressive on a top 4 defenseman… that with Levi starting? next season could bring tremendous gains in the standings….use that cap space baby!

Dahlin and Power on the left side already, do y’all actually want Hanafin? That’s before you even count Samuelsson. Vegas had a primarily left handed blue line once. They traded most of them cause they realized right hand D are required as well. Now they won the cup.

Just need a defensive minded D partner for Power. Let’s see who KA finds

I’m a Flames fan first (yes, you can call me a Flamer), Sabres fan second.

I think Hanifin would be a great fit on the Sabres. He would anchor the second pair. He is solid in both zones. He puts up decent points primarily on 5v5, with no PP1 time. He has been in a defensive structure for years, and probably has room to breakout offensively if given the opportunity. He is still only 26 and never gets injured. He is low maintenance and would probably re-sign if he had a good experience.

The only problem is the price. Market rate for a player like him, even UFA, is 1st+prospect+player. Would Buffalo even entertain giving up their first?? What about Kulich?

I see something like: Hanifin/Vladar/5th for 1st/Kulich. Or Hanifin/3rd for 1st/Krebs. Sabres are bursting at the seams with top prospects, will likely need to give up some high value for him.
