I would say the move to re-sign Monahan right now is a sign that Hughes and Kent don’t like the Dubois price-tag and are making other plans. Which I’m not opposed to. If the rumours of what the Kings are offering are true, the price is going to be exorbitant. Monahan is a short-term fix and down the road there’s a favourable chance that Dach becomes as good as Dubois.
