The NHL and Fanatics released the top 5 team jerseys sold from last year, and the Colorado Avalanche are at #5. They were also the first of the west coast teams.
What does this mean? Well, it means people are not only paying attention to the Colorado Avalanche, but they are also buying their gear as well. For a team that isn’t readily available in big box stores across the country, it also means people are likely going out of their way to purchase Avs gear online, so it is reaching people in all corners of the country. It’s kind of a big deal.

Really surprised Leafs weren’t in top 5.
It was really weird to see the Clippers and Warriors "git gud".
Count me in for Avs/Stars. Although if Oettinger pulls one of his famed disappearing acts, it could get ugly quickly.

The Caps and Pens are strictly there because of Sid and Ovi, their popularity is still untouched even by guys like Mackinnon and McDavid
I’m different than most, I believe. EVERYONE gets MacKinnon or Makar for their hockey sweater. I like getting someone who not everyone has. In other words, Byram needs to be signed.
LOC is one of my favorites as well. 2 things that seem to have hindered him last season(1 is every season) are his puck handling skills and the constant injuries of linemates, etc. There are times that I think he’s MacKinnon when he’s on the open ice, but uff da, he just can’t handle and shoot well. Everything else- give me 20 of him.
My first Avs jersey wasn't one of the core. Love those guys, but my first jersey was Frankie. He has been my fav since he showed up a couple of years ago. Yall keep up the great work! I have since gotten the core jerseys. 😁

Ill be honest… i became an Avs fan last year. I had never watched hockey before, but i am a die hard Broncos fan, so in order to keep it simple i went with another Denver team. Turns out it ended up being a great decision to do that. Haven't missed a game yet since cheering for them. My wife hates it 😂

I had to get Landy's sweater. O captain, my captain. He and Sakic have been the backbone of the franchise. I really hope he gets to come back, and then retire on his own terms.
LOC is the hardest working dude on the team (along with Cogs I guess) and it was hard to watch him unable to buy a goal last year, but his work ethic is worth more than that.

First game, at Arizona. First home game, against Chicago, because the NHL will do that again, but we might see Bedard.
Game one should be away in Chicago. I like the idea that Bedard's first game is against the Makar and MacKinnon. It would make good headlines and would be a competitive clean game to start Bedard's career in the NHL.
I would love to see Avs Vegas game 1 but I doubt the NHL would, simply because they suck at marketing. I would expect game 1 to be in Arizona, because that would be the worst divisional option.
Just met a kid at the Alamo in SA last weekend with an 'Avs 22 Cup' shirt on. Of course we shared a 'go avs!' fist bump.

I live in Windsor Ontario right across the boarder from Detroit. Colorado has always been one of the more popular teams here after the leafs and Canadiens. Randomly in the dollar store you will see Avs wash clothes. Most of those fans were from the 1996-2001 teams and players but a lot of us still remain here. Tons of Avs fans at the wings Avs game this season.
