Why would you be taking about Hayes
In the first place?
I’m with you Seth. In addition this sounds like an agent or team desperate to find a landing spot for a meh contract. Now go out and sign Carson Soucy already. He checks all the boxes for our defense playoff needs. That includes an affordable contract. We’d just need to find a new home for one of our players on the last year of their deal.
I had to Google " Kevin Hayes" so I think you know my answer……
If they get rid of Hartman, I wouldn't be completely against trading for Hayes if the Flyers retain at least half. Hartman takes too many dumb penalties at the wrong time and Hayes is more disciplined. Flyers might want Duhaime in return and if that was the case the Wild could bring back Sundqvist and/or Reaves. I could also see the Flyers taking Steel for Hayes because they'd still be saving money if they retained. Otherwise, trading for Hayes makes zero sense because now you have 2 bottom-6 centers fighting for a spot on the top line. It blocks Rossi's development and we all know Dean would much rather have Hartman and Hayes than Rossi in the lineup.
This makes zero sense and a definite no. I do like the diversion from the evals though 😃😅…
