‘This is my time’: Marco Rossi is determined to be a full-timer with Wild, starting now

Hope he can figure it out, another top 6 Center would be huge!

He lost a full year of his development at a key time. He was nearly point-per-game in what was essentially his draft + 2 season, playing on powerplay and penalty kill and everything in between.

Will he be a star? Who knows. But the constant negativity around him and people complaining of him being a bust is outrageous.

“Perfetti and Jarvis played better last year!” sure, as wingers and without the health issues that Rossi had to go through. Lundell I can give to you, he has played well as a center, though the expectations on him are much lower being on a stacked roster without the added pressure of being the possible best Center the Wild have ever had, and being a potential savior of the team.

Fans need to relax, give Rossi the benefit of the doubt, and let the man cook. He will be fine.

He’s going to turn 30 and someone will bring up the year he lost to COVID. In the NHL games he’s played there hasn’t been any flash moments. Even walker had some dangles and speed in the handful of games he dressed. Rossi can be a league MVP. The league is in Europe.

Interesting tidbit about Arizona. Apparently their HC was Rossi’s juniors coach, and they’ve asked about him in the past.

If there’s any way we could trade Rossi + for Cooley, I’d do it in a heartbeat even if we have to add a lot. I still think Rossi can become a good player but Cooley is electric.

The only way Arizona would do it is if they’re worried about signing Cooley, but given the state of their franchise it’s not that far fetched.

    Nice.

Remember the Aa button on the upper right corner of I phone screens drops down the “reader” option to by pass pay wall.

As the great philosophers of years past have said: nut up, or shut up. Show us you’re ready.

I have yet to say “ooooooo!” Watching him on ice. I should be saying “wow!” MORE than zero times for top 10 pick. 1 more chance in my book.

I hope he does really. I was excited to see him but he always looked lack luster when he would come up.

    LETS GO ROSSI

I hope he’s afforded more of an opportunity than he was given last season.

Training camp, he got slated for the fourth line from day one, but told he would get second unit power play time. (Dean proceeded to use the top unit 75-80% of the power play time). Got benched in his first game after a penalty. Wasn’t told why he was scratched. That’s certainly one way to handle your top prospect By the time he got put with Boldy and Foligno I’m not sure where he was mentally, but he certainly looked like he was playing on eggshells.

Caveat: yeah, he did bupkus at the end of the season when the team was coasting into the playoffs. It was a squandered opportunity to shine while much of the team was going through the motions. And I think that showing, more than anything, is why there is as much talk as there is about moving on from Rossi.
