Joshua Roy (#10 white) picked up 1 goal, 2 assists on 8 shots, and was a +3 on the night. He was named the 1st star of the game. On the season he now has 36 goals, 80 points in 47 games. Last year he had a very impressive 1.80 ppg, this year it’s dropped a little to 1.70 but improving his all round game is way more important then adding a few more points since at 18 he’s shown how good he can be offensively but left lots of questions about how his game would translate to the next level as he badly needs to add strength (both lower and upper body), mass, speed, skating.
This season he’s shown a good deal of improvement in his defensive game which is great to see and if he can just work on the above physical tools, he could be a very special player one day.
