  1. Kleven has a huge upside. Size is something the bottom six lacks so he’s worth keeping. Maybe any of JBD, Thomson or even Brannstrom should be considered instead.

  2. Ah no. I don't want a bunch of OHL people changing our direction, that could be disastrous. We don't need heroes to come in and change things. We need our well built core to continue to grow and a few grood trades for golies, etc. Don't mess with the locker-room ffs, what we're building is great..

And I agree, the buyers that walked away did so because they felt they were not getting it anyway,, or possibly because it's a complete disaster under the covers, which is also kind of likely. I hope it sells for $700M to punish the delays and leaves the owners with lots of spending money going forward.

  3. Wonder if we could pry Noah Dobson and a 3rd 4th liner from the Islanders for Debrincat/Thomson or Branny. Then we could have a Kleven/Zub 3rd pairing and one of the best defence cores. I would move Brannstrom, JBD, Thomson before Kleven. Kid is going to be a monster on the backend and they would be foolish to even consider trading him. Bottom six can be filled out with free agents and internally. Sokolov, Boucher, Greig, Brassard Kastellic and perphaps Formenton if they ever conclude the investigation. I don't think it's as big as issue as people are making out.

  4. The thing i dont like about the idea of trading away players like kleven and boucher is that we need physical players if we want to make deep playoff pushes. Kleven is the hardest hitting defenseman we have, and boucher is a wrecking ball. We lose them, the team loses a ton of time and space on ice come playoffs. A line of pinto, ostapchuk, and boucher sounds like a nightmare for other teams, and to me has the makings of a fantastic playoff 3rd line
