As I Sharks fan, it's surprising I haven't commited die yet. But if this trade happened, that would be the last straw. Soo thankful this never actually happened.
It blows my mind that San Jose still think there a playoff team and a cup contender.
As a Sharks fan, Thank gosh this didn’t happen! Reinhart would’ve been a nice addition but not worth what Eklund could become in the future.

Terrible deal for the Sabres. Though the deal they got wasn’t any better.
Important to point out that the sharks drafted Benjamin Gaudreau in the 3rd round who was regarded as the 3rd best goalie prospect in the draft and had the OHL played last year might have gone at the end of the 1st round or the 2nd round. so the sharks got eklund and a potential future starter.
Maybe Eklund + Kane for Reinhart and the 14th lol
San Jose shoulda taken Reinhart and 14th in a heartbeat for 7th. That's because Isak Rosen (who we selected 14th) is like a mirror image of Ecklund. Both 5'10' fast shifty swedes who play that north south game. Rosen really needs to put on some size (I think that's the one major difference between the two) but when watching both of them they looked pretty similar to me. Poeple were calilng Rosen a super skating phenom and the best skater in the draft. Getting Reinhart on top of that was a no brainer lol. They prolly said no because Reinhart was a RFA and SJ in serious cap hell. Anyhow If I don't start seeing Devon Levi in some top goalie prospect lists we def got fleeced
Eklund looks like a BEAST. Reinhart is a good player but I don't think he's a game changer. Would've been a bad trade.
