Only move-lou will put up the 'I'll trade my '24 first for bottom line forward/d man' sign up. And just face the facts-the only moves lou will make are to win now, not for the future while not giving a damn about how close to cap isles are. That's why this rumour is out there. With sj looking to move ek65 and 10 possible team list includes isles says-ek65 for pulock deal is out there. Isles get their dynamic d man who outscored their top scorer by 30 pts. sj gets a steady d man for their re-build. ek65 $11.5 x4 left. Pulock $6.1 x 7 left. Have sj eat aome of difference in next four years and take bailey/sweetener to do it. Gets isles out of last three years of pulock deal that will age badly after four. And with lou in win now mode isles get a pp boost that can get the puck up ice. valrly's $5 mil.is off the books. Would have to keep mayfield cheap if possible. Isles have projected $4 mill. in cap space plus varly/bailey would dump $10 mil. depending if isles have to retain part of bailey deal. Maybe sj will throw in one of the meier picks, first '23 or second '24, to dump karlsson deal? Just a rumour out there.
