Good write-up on potential picks .but I think the Canes need some size in their towards

All I know is that I want a Canes jersey with Musty on the back.

Not sure if I would want Brindley with his lack of size but I wouldn’t mind going after Nadeau, would love it of Musty fell down to #30.

Musty will go before #30. He has too much projectable size that GMs love.
I would guess that the Canes will do what they always do and take the undervalued players. At #30 those are guys who are either Russian or undersized.
Russian – Simashev is a no-brainer if he falls. Imagine Nikishin and Simashev on the same team. Two massive defensive stalwarts policing the blue line. At this point I don’t see him falling to #30 though. Daniil But and Gulyayev are the next tier. A big forward with a high motor and a smart, smooth undersized D.
Undersized – Perrault (unlikely), Heidt, Brindley, Cristall, and Lardis are all examples of undersized guys with varying high-end skillsets. Personally I like Lardis and Heidt. Lardis plays the right way and scored 30 goals in 39 games once he was traded and placed in a scoring role. Great shot and hustle. I like Heidt’s vision.
My list would be Simashev > But > Lardis > Gulyayev > Heidt > Brindley
