This same post, slightly different pic/different team, got taken down by mods a little while ago. Just FYI

  2. J0rdMan_88

I always enjoyed the warm-up jerseys. Being able to support so many different organizations in such a creative way has always been amazing. I believe more sport affiliation organizations need to start doing the same thing. Showing support and being able to stay united is always important

  3. oogaboogaman33

People getting offended at lgbt pride jerseys is such a snowflake thing. The nhl caving to snowflake conservatives is such a classic nhl braindead business move

  4. NerosDrinkingBuddy

Like it or not it became a distraction. Just stick to hockey, literally everything else is lgbt already.

  5. Ancient_Fox_9183

They also banned military jerseys. As a veteran, am I upset? Nope. They can still have their military night, support the military, and do everything except wear them as jerseys. This is a business decision.

  6. TampaLurker17

If you do t think this was pushed by the players you’re pretty naive.

  7. bigdadE420

Don’t care. Just want to watch hockey again.

  8. mortycakes

Hey I have a crazy idea people, stay with me here, this might be hard to hear, but….. maybe this wouldn’t be and issue if everyone didn’t make a big deal and crucify 1 person on a whole team not wearing a jersey due to his beliefs, you ask for tolerance and acceptance. Yet…. and do not even deny it, you blew up and did this. People have different beliefs. it’s a two way street. Now let’s see how accepting you guys are with the up and down votes on a very unbiased opinion

  9. mymar101

Can’t ban pride night so they ban the whole thing

  10. HanSolo5643

Well, I am fine with it. Politics and sports should be separate. I dont watch hockey for political commentary. I watch to be entertained.

  11. tcrex2525

This is the first step to selling sponsorship rights to the warm ups. Every player comes out in specialty ad-ridden jerseys, which they’ll then try to sell to you at a markup after they’ve been worn.

Hell, the league sells sponsorship rights to the power plays and the last minute of the game, so it’s not that far fetched. After that will be mandatory temporary tattoos upon entry, because that nights fans have been sponsored by some gambling website.

Edit: chill out folks, it’s just a stupid joke

  12. TheZebrraKing

I am fine as long as they never ever make a exception. Don’t want to wear pride fine don’t want to wear military fine etc etc. I don’t like it but I understand it

  13. savagesavvy19

Do I like the pride jerseys? Yes, but I love hockey more, I thinks its great they wanted to try and include everyone, but it brought so many unneeded politics into hockey. Lets just play hockey!!

  14. WeimarStreetCrust

    Great to see this.

I don’t like seeing any virtue signaling garbage with my sports, so this is a step up for the NHL.

With that said, hockey as a culture just needs to be a lot more friendly for everyone, but that starts with the fans and players…..not a virtue signaling campaign.

  15. Capitaljungle

Welp at least the devils went out on top with some of the most fire practice jerseys out there!

  16. leebo_1

As long as all of them, and not just some I’m ok with it

  17. jvenigoorofhesselink

Fuck your cancer and military recruitment jerseys.

  18. KodiakUrsa

Good. Politics and sports mix about as well as oil and water. Instead of stirring up a shitstorm every time they do something pride-related (let’s be honest – this was about pride specifically), they can just play hockey. There’s no sense in dividing fans and players over things like that.

  19. Gullible_ManChild

My thought is I don’t care. At the same time, I also welcome it so that all discussion of it can end…some of the discussions became hateful and nasty.

  20. Midnight_Mustard

Good let’s get rid of the anthems next

  21. Jonnyplesko

Good decision. Less for people to bitch about. Both ways

  22. trot0030

I believe we’ve gotten to the point where nights like this unintentionally antagonize enough people on either side and has a divisive effect.

Believe it or not, some people just like hockey because they like hockey. And watching hockey is a nice escape from the world’s madness.

Can we just watch hockey please?

  23. Swimming-Fan7973

It makes sense. They can still support the causes but don’t force players into doing something they might not be comfortable with.

  24. Relation-Fearless

This might not be a popular opinion, but this is just me: If we just celebrated the overwhelming majority of players who participated instead of focusing on the handful who didn’t, the jerseys wouldn’t have been removed.

  25. StringFlinger18

    PERFECT. DIDNT NEED THEM
    ANYWAYS

  26. Old-Yak-2378

Good they would only worry about hockey not everything else in the world

  27. jurkajurka

The VGK Chinese new year jerseys are always awesome… Disappointing I assume they won’t be in them again.

  28. eexxiitt

There are better ways to support these movements than skating around in a warm up jersey.

  29. liquidskywalker

Bit of a shame, I liked a few of them. The Jets WSAC sweater looked great to me. Plus, it makes the league look spineless. They can talk about inclusiveness but then back down on what they stand for after the slightest pushback.

  30. capsrock02

Source is actually Elliotte Friedman. Everyone else is using his report.

  31. xiphos805

Good I’m glad I don’t have to see those stupid camo jerseys stuffed down my throat pushing it’s agenda on me

  32. hjfsound

Finally some sanity. So done with this self obsessed rainbow shit, get over yourselves.

  33. Grimmer026

On the list of reasons I watch hockey, warm up jerseys or specialty nights aren’t on it.

  34. Adventurous_Art_5747

We need a Pride organization to pay for the jersey advertisement patch. Checkmate
