What is Editor in Leaf? Can anyone write articles for it? The quality of content is… interesting.

Long and short answer : it depends on cap

I’d be comfortable with any of these numbers, ROR is a playoff level 2C. Even if he ages into a 3C I think you can make it work at these numbers.

Unless he loved his time here so much he’s willing to take a discount I don’t see it happening. This will be his last big payday and some team out there will over pay him based on his pedigree. Given his age, any long term contract he gets is inevitably going to age poorly.

I do not want RoR at age 35+. I don’t see him signing a 2 year deal.

ROR’s play style typically ages into the mid 30s like milk left out in the sun, so the better question is probably “should they?”

I see Editor in Leaf, I agree immediately. dubas would have never re-signed a diminishing asset to a dollar figure that could threaten the earnings of the core 4.
sadly with tr*living we are in uncharted waters and anything is possible

Oriely is turning 33yr in February. He is already slow, this isn’t a speedy marlue. Leafs don’t need a soon to be foligno for $5m. Spend the money on bertuzzi at age 28yr. Trade his rights

Personally I’d take one of ROR or Tavares. Not both. I think ROR brings more to the table but I’m just an observer. I just don’t see the point of both.

We can and we will!
No but seriously, I would love him back. Him on that 3rd line was just amazing.

No thanks. One of the problems we had was being too slow in the playoffs.

I liked him on the second line with JT. Other than that option, he was pretty invisible.
Boring_Ad9752
He’s arguably the best UFA center this off-season so probably not. Someone’s going to get silly with their teams wallet.

A slow, older forward who doesnt really hit or score goals??? lets give him 5 million

As Dubas would say, “We can, and we will”
