I’ve previously posted these *after* the draft, around the time of Free Agency. However, I figured that with the state of the team and the importance of this upcoming draft, it seemed better to post now. **(This time I included a key explaining the color coding, so I hope that helps.)**
My main lineup’s forward composition is entirely my own thoughts on what seems like a fun squad to start the season based on who we have currently, but feel free to discuss what the opening night lineup will look like as well. I used capfriendly’s positions when considering which side to put the winger’s on (I figured Parsy could share center duties on the 3rd with Joey, while alternating the right wing spot since Joey can play RW and Parsy is also right handed). Evangelista could maybe need another year in the A, and I could easily see Jankowski, Sanford, or some camp/preseason standout in place of McCarron on the fourth line. The main lineup defense is more based on handedness and projected impact, I know some of these players can switch sides which leads to pairings like Josi – McD but I figured this is a better way to display it depth wise. Also, I’m not well versed in the rules of the CHL to AHL transition, so I put asterisks on Jr players that I think are aging out, but am unsure of.
I probably should’ve gone ahead and made Lanky green though.
