Fire rob blake
it would be a shame to see Durzi go. He has a bright future and is going to move up. This team is getting younger, should have gotten rid of Edler when we had the chance.
If you’re Blake and moving him can improve your roster or package him with others to move up for a late 1st, then you have to do it.
Sure Durzi brings some offense but he still can’t read defensively and his foot speed has him regularly beaten wide. Same things that plagued him in ONT.
He’s like a worse version of Brian Benning and ol’BB was awful on the Kings blue line.
That said, the kid has some jam and can make some plays but his defensive lapses just don’t make it worth it in critical moments.
Durzi is as good as gone, for most likely a 2nd round pick.
No doubt….. Keep him
Everyone knows, including Durzi, that Clarke is coming. If Durzi is part of a package that includes a big time impact player I could see him being dealt. However, at 1.7m his cap hit is ideal for another season considering his upside. If Matt Roy isn't extended or Spence doesn't pan out, Sean's offensive skill is at least worth putting him on the 3rd pairing.
Hey Eddie keep doing the phenomenal job you've been doing' Durzi can give you a heart attack however i think he's better off gone!
This has nothing to do with durzi but more of somerhing i been trying to see everyones perspective on this subject. But i am not changing what i beleive and that is that i really feel disapointed in the way that copley has been treated. COPLEY SAVED THE KINGS SEASON LAST SEASON! and the organization and as well as sone of the fans still cant give him the respect and the opportunity to take that number 1 spot instead we are looking elsewhere? This makes no sense to me i mean all that guy did was work hisss a.. off every single time he played and how did we show him we appreciated what he did by starting korpi every single game of the playoffs and not even give copley the slightest chance. And now after we have chosen to not sign this other keeper that was handed the #1 we still want to pour salt on copleys wound and look elsewhwhere instead of trusting in the man who saved your a…es and probably rob blakes and Tmacs Jobs. Im all for the Kings and them improving but i think being an organization who respects and appreciates those who give it all for the team should always come 1st. That should include allowing players to win and loose a spot on the team when, where or how did copley loose the straring possition he definitely earned?.
On that play against Vegas i would like to point out that the play was a direct result of just barely learning how to play the left side and making a bad read.
Not making an excuse for it but it was him controlling the puck. He came out on the goalies left and attempted a stretch pass up the left side which instantly got picked off.
Yes it was a bonehead play, but he has learned a lot since then and did improve in the final quarter of the season. Maybe the hard way, but aside from Edler no other King in the entire Kings organization can play their opposite side for a reason. Because they would suck at it. Even DD can't switch sides.
And Edler is gone…so that leaves just Durzi as the only defenseman in the entire Kings franchise that can switch sides.
Durzi is not only doing it, he is only in his 2nd season in the NHL and could really improve if he's given more than 1 season to figure out how to play on the left.
Probably not what a lot of Kings fans want to hear, but i'm just being honest. There is still a lot of upside to Durzi's game.
Doughty Anderson
Durzi Gavrikov
Clarke Roy
If Durzi is moved for a goalie then
Doughty Anderson
Clarke Gavrikov
Spence Roy
He reminds me of Muzzin. Lots of skill, but the brains and skill don’t always connect.
Skilled player and a great guy, but he's a liabilty every time he steps on the ice, it's not just him, Doughty has more and more defensive lapses as well but you know he won't be traded anytime soon..
Love Durzi and I met him twice very nice guy but we should trade him for a goalie while he has Value unless he comes back more physical and more reliable don't mid keeping him! Eddie keep up the awesome work!!!
Definitely keep him one of our better defenseman and can score especially on power play
GO – Absolutely. Get draft capital and make room
for Clarke and Spence
