OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the 2023 NHL Draft and specifically narrow down our list to targets that will be available in the 2nd half . Who will the Canadiens take at Pick # 31? I will list out some players that I am interested in!

31st overall, Roy, gallagher , Calgary First in 2024 for Keller and arizona 2nd in 2024

There's plenty of talent at 31 I tell you.
Crazy as it sounds, if we keep the pick, I’m drafting defence. Dragicevic with Florida’s pick and Morin with ours. As stacked as we are, I’d like to see us keep that train rolling. And those two look like excellent additions. Smith, Moore or Michkov with our 5th, plus those two guys on the backend would make for a pretty good draft haul!
But is the french word for "goal" so they should draft him on that alone
Keep the 31st. Until the announcement that the re-build is over I'd keep all picks. Not interested in moving up in the draft either, unless it's for #1 lol. Having an abundance of picks and young players is a problem every team would be envious of. Get too many young players in the system, then worry about trading them.
Who do u want the Habs to take with their 5th pick?? Michkov, Smith, Carlsson, Leonard, or Benson? Of course, if they could move up to 2nd and get Fantilli, that'd be amazing, but dont count on that! It's not happening!!! lol.
My top 3 are Fantilli, Carlsson, and Smith.
I say we just risk it get Michov with the 5th pick and Daniil Butt with the 31st

I wouldn’t mind it.
I’d plug him with a power skating coach & have him train it for the next 3 years non-stop 24/7.
I would not trade ANY picks I want more picks.Smith/Leonard and then at 31 I think we could use Barlow and if he's gone I'll take the Russian D Simashev.
I think we draft BPA at 5 then trade FLA pick plus capital/lesser prospect for pick 20-25 if Willander or Gulyayev still there. If Willander or Gulyayev isn’t available at pick 20+ then I think we either go Musty/But/Dragicevic at 31. Think there could be a gem of a D at 20-31 if some teams over-reach on the forward pool

I can see Hughes trade 5th + 31st for 7th + 21st + ???
Maybe they trade their late 1st and their 2nd to move up if they really like one of the players you mentioned.

I'd keep it, unless they can get a better 1st pick in exchange for that pick
I think this draft being so deep and the scout job that has been done last year id say we keep it
I would see a goaltenders for the 31 pick or 2 round pick.. we dont have any solid prospect a this position.
I think if hughesy can't find a deal to trade up to fourth, then he does something cheeky in a trade back. I would trade 5OA Hoffman for 9OA 17OA and Zadina. I'd then take Ryan Leonard, Zach Benson, or Oliver Moore at 9. 17 feels like a perfect pick to nab a slider or maybe Gabe Perault. Then at 31 I like Musty, or Brindley. I'd take a goalie in round 3/4 Jacob Fowler. Early round two I keep seeing Cameron Allen from the storm and I can get behind drafting a little on need there, but good chance of finding nice value early second too might be the time to take a russian slider. I like michkov but I'm also accepting that hughes seems to not want to draft him.
Draft musty at 31, Package UP #34, harris & anderson for 14th overall and draft Yager
But and Michkov please. That’s would make the Habs nuclear

I don't know what will happen on draft day, but I do know that I'm so excited to see all the pieces come together for the new era of the Habs! I've been saying it since Hughes took over: Lord Stanley is coming back to MTL by 2027 season at the very latest
