I like Haula and I’m glad he’s back. I was hoping this cap hit would be a bit lower, but it’s not an albatross. If we ever need to move him we should be able to do it. Going to just trust Fitz on this one and not freak out over $3mil.

Yr 1 $2.9M Salary & $1M Signing Bonus, Full No Trade
Yr 2 $2.15M Salary & $1M Signing Bonus, Full No Trade
Yr 3 $2.4M Salary, 6 team No Trade List

hmmm i like this, could it have been a little lower? maybe in my dreams lol but Haula is 100% bought in with this team and I think his desire to be here among other things are gonna be the x factors that will make this more than worth it.

3.15M AAV is great. Idk what anybody is smoking thinking this is expensive at all. 40 point forward who is defensively responsible, a great leader, and is excellent at face offs.

Don’t know where else you’re finding that for 3.15m AAV

Solid deal for a guy who wants to be here, was a good fit on and off the ice, and was one of our best playoff performers. If he can figure out how to not be snakebitten for the first 50 games next year, even better.

  6. This works for me. Guy wants to be here.

The AAV is around what I’d thought they’d agree on. It’s a 3year deal so Haula gets some stability, but it’s not long enough that he’s here past 35 for long.

Love Haula. Wanted him to remain part of the team given he seems to have meshed with the players and the coaching philosophy. But I was thinking he’d be at 2.75mm. I know it’s only about 400k difference. But given it comes with a NTC I thought the AAV would be better, especially since he will be 35 at the end of the contract.

Great move, expect about 10 more regular season goals this year. Curious what we will do with Tartar

Could’ve easily gotten 4mil+ as a Ufa. Cap going up by 1mil next year and more the year after. Solid deal for a 40 point player (who was severely snakebitten). Meier next.

Adds to veteran leadership on out young team. Like it

Honestly worth it because he has the best goal scoring Jumbotron video on the team.

Thers a clip out there somewhere of Haula talking to Jack on the bench, telling him what to do. Jack was fully tuned in, nodding his head. Clearly has a lot of respect for Haula. A natural leader

He earned it man, I’m so glad we extended him

If we get playoff Haula, this is a steal. If we get regular season Haula, not so much.

Great deal and value for his contract. 3 years is short enough that it won’t burn us and 3.15AAV is perfect what should be a 3rd line center

I was so down on Haula most of the season and then sometime in the last 1 1/2 – 2 Months of the season and into the playoffs he really won me over. Glad he’s back and sticking around
