I hope an Eastern Team puts in a $14 million offer when his rookie contract is over so I can see more of his games. The only two 'players' I would pay to see: McDavid and Pettersson.

Petey drew the most penalties this season, people think he flops or dives but that's false. The kid gets raped every single shift and if refs called it by the books the Nucks would have a record amount of PPS.
I haven't seen a young #1 centre at 21-22 take such pride in his defensive game. This kid never cheats like no D McDavid does.
Of all the highlights of this kids young career, my favourite is the goal against the Jackets. The team was missing Marky among others and was struggling with both Petey and Hughes playing hurt. Petey took a questionable penalty and was pissed. He never sat down the whole 2 mins and you could see how pissed off he was. The last clip was the end result.

I teared up when he scored his first goal against Calgary. I was so happy.
Me: Petey, you can show a little more joy when you scored.
Petey: I am the iceman from the cold north.
Amazing just for Garrett's reactions
He's like the fatty and the thin guy in NES Ice Hockey (1987). He skates like the wind, has great skills and shoots the puck like the big guy, but with such crazy accuracy. Unbelievable what a player he is. And then the mental parts? He's so mature for such a young age. His higlight video when he retires will be booked for a sleepover weekend. He must be a nightmare for other goalies to play against. He can rip you by the ear or play a pass you never expected. So much fun.
Im gonna be mad if this kid doesn't make the hall of fame.
The thing that always fascinates me about him is that it's NEVER luck.
He foreshadows, executes and earns every point he gets.
He is the future of hockey.

I just watched a video "my pettersson card collection" it's a pretty good collection
I might be a bit of a homer, but John Shorthouse and John Garret are great in the booth. Maybe the best in the NHL right now. I really do miss Tom Larscheid, though. He was such an unabashed hockey fan with such a love of the game. Wish he could jump in now and again, and put on the microphone for old times sake. Anyone remember when he and shorthouse won the 50/50 during the game? Priceless…
