Carolina Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal expressed during exit interviews that he wanted to remain with the Carolina Hurricanes and wanted to finish his career in Raleigh. TSN Hockey insider Darren Dreger reported that contract conversations have hit a standstill. Staal is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. Chris Lea & Paul Ihander discuss if this could’ve been the last season we saw Jordan Staal play as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes roster?

I agree with these guys that the money can be better spent for more youth and scoring. A fresh new voice as C can also benefit the team.
Iโd say thank the Staals for their services, take your $60M, and provide a facelift for the team that needs more offense.
Jordan has to retire a cane
Love to see him in Vancouver. Rutherford gave him his last contract.
