Damn he good should be top 10
He's still very raw physically. Gonna be interesting to see him play when he adds some muscle. High upside pick maybe🤔
You should do a report on Tom Wallinder, he seems to be climbing people’s rankings.
I've been waiting on this one, great video!
Boom !!!
I’ve heard Yzerman scouted Giants games and apparently he had a good interview. I think wouldn’t mind him at 17
Honzek has potential for sure very smooth hands he reminds me the slovak version of Soderblom with a higher flour
A universally loved prospect, but one guy – who even had him ranked between 15-20 (i can't remember who) – said he likely maxes out as a really good bottom six player. I'm just thinking why would that be what you're after in the top 20 of a deep draft??? I haven't been able to wrap my head around that little nugget
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this kid may be in the top 10 of the draft. I can't wait to see when he puts on a few pounds and is playing with a couple of decent NHL'ers.
Lots of talent, would not be disappointed if Blackhawks select him at #19
Best scouting on the internet
Yzerman went to multiple games to watch him. The longest interview redwings had.
Sounds like hes the guy yzerman wants. So possible at 9-17.
If he's that big, and can skate that well, with sweet hands, then whatever he's doing now, why couldn't his upside be very, VERY high? "You can't teach size", or, for that matter, natural offensive instinct, I believe. But you can teach drive, motivation, and unlocking your potential. If those are what he needs to work on, then, get yerself a sports psychologist, Honzek, and become worthy of using your natural skills to be an NHL'er! I like this pick, in the teens, for sure; it may be a gamble, but I like the possible return on the odds. It just may take a little time and development.
Thank you for the scout: I think Yzerman might move up from 17 to get him…a 1st round of Moore and Honzek would be golden!
Honzek reminds me of a Patrik Eliáš type that thrived in the physical play of the eastern conference. SY knows Detroit will just have to find physical players to be competitive instead of adding star elite forwards as the draft lottery fails to deliver as usual.
But this is a big need as Detroit has to add to their LW depth to replace Bertuzzi. His size fits the mold of larger players that SY has been adding to the roster. I think Honzek has a better shot selection than Bertuzzi and is stronger on his skates using his leverage.
the opposite of what Yzerman wants in Detroit. Look at the three things he has to improve on & these are the main talking points for what Yzerman is looking for; things Yzerman has said verbatim.
