Hitting a creative wall sucks. The Florida Panthers can relate. Their wall was the Vegas Golden Knights. I did say they’d win the Cup last year. Was hoping it wouldn’t be true, but that tends to happen.

As a long time viewer and a golden knights fan, I'm so incredibly happy that we won the cup. Our organization has had its highs and definitely its lows but the win the cup in just 6 years is unfathomable. To be honest before the Golden Knights came into town a majority of my home of Las Vegas wasn't really into hockey very much, myself included. However a combination of them coming into town and watching tree's hockey vids sparked interest in the sport for me. By the time the Knights came I full embraced the team and was ready for an awful first year but with the determination and fire to help support the tragedy so many people here got into hockey and it really united the city I'd never seen before. The parade was the first time in my home that I felt true unity of all of us coming together since the incident. But I'm just glad we came together in much happier terms🙂. I do also understand how insane it is that we won the cup in just 6 years. The parade is something I'm gonna cherish for the rest or my life. Thank you Vegas golden knights, thank you to everyone who has put on a VGK jersey and most importantly thank you Bill foley!
As a flyers fan I've lost one the final things to keep me happy through the rebuild and that was our record for fastest expansion team to win the cup. Now that's gone
Gotta give it to the Golden Knights. The team wasn't as arrogant as they were in the past. Bruce Cassidy definitely was what they needed to keep those egos in check. And anything to point and laugh at the Bruins is a good thing, so good job Boston. May your ignorance haunt you more than that Game 7 choke against the St. Louis Blues.
Honestly, the narratives ended up too intriguing to not want Vegas to win. You never forget your first, enjoy it. And Tree needs to keep F-Zero GX – Casino Palace as the Golden Knights theme in his vids.
Remember that it was Tallon's return after being kicked out for an analytical approach that they never really gave a chance to succeed, also, at least the Heat WON championships and kept an interesting core (for now)
As a Canadiens fan in my eyes this just says we are right there. We beat the same Vegas team EZ. When Shea Weber and Carey Price comeback from injury, I have no doubt we will win our cup then.
With Manchester City finally won the UEFA Champions League in 7 years of Pep Guardiola, the Golden Knights finally won the Stanley Cup after 7 years of finding the right guys and Peter Deboer.
Something to keep an eye out once Dallas Stars is done with Deboer.
However i do have a Question – Does this mean that all the actions they did over the years to get here are justified now?? Backstabbing players for shiny objects, Screwing over M.A.F, circumventing the cap, players acting entitled etc. Was it all worth it??
You wanna know why the NHL is a joke and seen as such now? Cuz they just handed the cup to Vegas because they can’t run the risk of having another team fail in the desert man empty building during the cup final AGAIN for Vegas fucking pitiful.
