Hughes might be bluffing for michkov. I've been liking Leonard more lately plays with grit and can put the puck in.
If Michkov is available at 5th, Montréal MUST select him !!! C'mon you guys, it's a NO BRAINER !!! … Let's face it, most teams that have had a generational superstar amongst their ranks have gone on to win the Stanley Cup > Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Sydney Crosby, Ovechkin, Patrick Kane, Nathan McKinnon, Kucherov, Eichel, etc., etc… Okay, Connor McDavid & Auston Matthews haven't won yet, but in any event, having Michkov on your roster will no doubt strengthen the odds !!!
I like the idea of trading to get both Arizona picks.
Mailloux, Anderson ,,kidney and 3rd round piick for Fantilli and we keep 5th pick add get a RH D in second round, or free agent Mailloux is a top line D but we have Hudson in he wings. we add Fantilli and Smith!….LEMME' DREAM!!!
I agree that getting two picks in the top 15 of this offensively loaded draft is actually pretty huge for an organisation. MTL should do it 😛 but there's a price to that and we don't have much to spare for a trade.

Quit limiting you r choices to the concensus top 5 .Their are players in the top 20 that can go much higher Danil But is rhe Best at #5

If Montreal could get Will Smith, that would be a good fit for where they are at right now. Good scenario
I truly believe MM & Leonard will both end up either with Montreal & Philly, whom to where all depends on Le Habs!!!
My biggest concern with Michkov was the uncertainty of him coming over. But now that he's showing up at the draft, I feel much better about it. So if he's available when the Habs get to draft, I expect them to take him. Here's who I think the Habs have as their top 5. Bedard, Michkov, Fantilli, Carlson and Leonard. Yes, I do think Leonard has a slight edge over Smith. I think Leonard's value went up after we saw how good Matthew Tkachuk did for Florida in the last playoffs.
That being said, I expect all these players to be fantastic players and I'll be happy which whoever the Habs draft even if it's not any of these players. As long as it's not a defenseman..
As a Hawk fan I think it is amazing that the Habs will probably get a better player with the fifth pic this year then the first last year.

Calgary is trading Huberdeau to Montreal for their pick. Calgary will eat 2.5 million of his salary
it is all fixed rigged they know BEFORE where and who and which player is going to, there teams, before the draft day ALL business ask,the players to have there choice and saying to where and what team THEY really want to play players they must have a saying not the owners

I feel like no one care about Leo Carlsson, everybody put it #3 by defalt while saying that Bedard and Fantilli are lock 1 and 2 for obvious reasons and players at position 4-5-6-7-8 are absolute gems. I feel that he could drop and still be available at 5.
There is too much risk to go after Michkov. This draft is too deep to risk taking him. Read the papers about Russia. This deep a draft may not come again. Go with the sure thing. The situation may not be completely in Michkov's hands.

How can you be so sure about michkov? Have you ever met him? Spoken to him? That answer is no so let the experts handle the character issues. You can only talk about his skills because that's all you know.
No 5 to Rangers for Lafrenière
If they don’t draft a center with #5 I’ll be disappointed. If they don’t draft a forward with #5 it’s a fail🤷🏻♂️
Shayner's list is the best list i have seen so far. To put Benson at 13 and Perreault outside the top 16 like some other "pro scout" did is the proof that Hockey is still run by some dinosaur. I can't believe after all the mistakes that have been done that a lot of gm still thinks that you have to draft big ole big boys. Caufield at 15 was another stupid one, but one good for us haha
